Lifestyle October 21, 2015We recently rearranged our room to accommodate for baby girl coming in less than a month! We got a pretty, little, gold dresser from High Fashion Home that is perfect size for all of her things and can also be a little changing table once she comes. I also wanted something that could be work with multiple rooms (accent piece in a living room or entryway etc.) since we move to a three bedroom soon. To the right of the dresser is where her little bassinet will be once it arrives and it folds up nice so when we aren’t using it, it won’t take up space (we don’t have a lot of space ;)) We also got a new bed from High Fashion Home that we LOVE!!! I love that it is low profile, simple and that it is lower to the ground which makes me feel better with a one year old crawling on and off our bed all the time. We spend a lot of time in our room.. Atticus has his own nursery but for some reason enjoys being in our room more. So we read on our bed and do LOTS of playing with Chauncey on the bed. I could watch them tackle each other and play all day. We finally got a rug which I am also excited about because I like getting into bed after my feet have been on carpet, not wood.... I don’t know if that makes any sense but I feel like I should step out of bed onto something soft ha! So we got this ivory rug also from High Fashion Home. All the pieces we have from them, we love. They are very high quality and they have the best selection of gorgeous pieces! I love to just go on the website and browse because everything is so amazing and I day dream about actually having enough space to use the furniture :) *Huge thanks to High Fashion Home for sponsoring this post!

Hello! You take such beautiful pictures! But my big question is… How do you keep your dog soooo groomed? I mean he is in your bed and yet it looks so clean. Anyway love to read about you and your beautiful family
Oh thank you!! And we use a certain type of brush that helps reduce the shedding (if that makes sense?!). We also have him on a really good diet! But other than that, his coat is easy to maintain 🙂

So many cute photos! I LOVE the one of you throwing your baby boy onto the bed. He got some serious air! Does he like you being touch with him? I wrestle with my baby boy on our bed all the time. Believe it or not, my HUSBAND thinks I can be a little too rough with him sometimes lol

We have a closet in our room but it isn’t pictured 🙂 It’s very small though haha! David uses the coat closet as his closet space! 😉
Beautiful bedroom! I love seeing photos of your home decor. I too live in smaller-than-I’d-like apartment. I love it’s coziness, but often kind myself trying to get creative with storage. How do you manage such a big closet in such a small space (I already had my love surrender the master closet to me, and he uses the spare hehe).

I love your room! Is small but it looks bright and airy and is decorated so beautifully. We recently moved to a smaller apartment and it has been a big adjustment (I’m still not 100% used to it ) and is true just getting rid of things that you no longer use is key when you don’t have much space.

Looks fabulous (and you have such great natural lighting in your place!) I need to know your storage secrets – we have a relatively small space with no extra storage, and I just feel like (especially since having my son) we have so much STUFF with no where to put it! I love using baskets for storage as well! We use one for our blankets in the family room, for kids toys, etc.! xo

Totally agree on the hardwood in the bedroom! We have it too and I cannot stand getting out of bed onto a cold hard floor. My opinion is save the hardwood for other spaces not bedrooms haha Your room looks so classy! Love it! Are you guys moving soon after the little Miss comes? Or settling into a bit of a routine first? Love this!! We bought a low to the ground bed because we knew we would have babies crawling on it often 🙂 so much nicer knowing they can get on and off by themselves once big enough. Also love the gold dresser! Our dresser we got when we were in a studio and it needed to also work as a TV stand and look like it fit anywhere. We just moved into a place where our clothes dresser is actually in our room. But now I want to get one for the baby room that doesn’t have to stay there whenever we move in case we go to a tiny apartment again haha

Adorable as always. I have to know, how are you and all of your things not constantly covered in dog hair?? We have a golden retriever (best dogs ever) and she sheds like CRAZY. I feel like I could furminate, sweep and vacuum everyday and still not keep up.
Thanks so much Chelsea!! And we sweep the floors almost daily!! It definitely is a lot of maintenance around the house but he’s worth it 😉 It’s hard to keep pets off furniture but that’s the best way to avoid getting hair everywhere, we do our best but it is hard!!
