Hello from Norway!! We arrived Saturday afternoon and got to our apartment, took a snooze, woke up WAY later than we planned and I was so surprised it was still light out! I had forgotten the sun doesn't set til around 9:30-10pm so we went out and did some evening exploring! I already am in love with Norway.
Atticus has been so good too, I was worried how he would do with the time difference but last night he slept for 5 hours then woke up once, I nursed him and he went back to bed right after and slept another 6 hours. It is super cold here, colder than I had thought and the most unfortunate thing happened... When we went to get our luggage all of the buckles to my duffle/roller were undone and a zipper was open with A's raincoat hanging half way out. It was all black like it had just been dragged 10 miles on pavement and the rest of his hoodies, coats, long sleeve shirts, pretty much all cold weather accessories etc were completely missing. I was so bummed. Luckily I had exactly 1 coat (his scuffed up rain coat), 2 long sleeve shirts, and a sweater in my carry on to hold us over. I hate when stuff like that happens! I swear I have bad luck with luggage. Or maybe we just travel so often that odds are not in our favor. Anyways, all is good now and everyone is happy. Norway is AMAZING! Tomorrow we are off to Flam!

I don’t understand what they do with luggage once it leaves your possession that things like this happen. I mean, I know it gets thrown around, but doesn’t anyone with any courtesy work in airport luggage? Sheesh. Sucky you have to deal with that. But I hope it’s smooth sailing from here forward. Looks a great trip so far! Sorry to hear about the stolen clothes. I have the problem with baggage getting lost and always feel like I am the only one in the world with that probably. This looks so amazing and seems like it will be such an awesome trip! I can’t believe that happened and I remember other times you mentioning similar things happening with your luggage. Seriously, I never understand why people do those kinds of things. Plus, when you’re tired from traveling it makes it feel 10 times worse!! Hope it wasn’t anything that you guys cant replace! Oh wow! Norway! I am so excited to live vicariously through another adventure! That is really unfortunate about A’s clothes. I have never had luggage problems,but I have never travelled anywhere. So maybe with all your extra travelling you are stealing up my bad luggage luck. My husband and i literally just took this exact same trip last week. Flåm was gorgeous and I’m sure you’ve already researched it, but the Flåm Railroad is definitely worth taking, as is the ferry from Flåm to Aurland- you have to see the fjords from the water. If you’re looking for a place to eat we ate at Aegir Brewery and Pub in Flåm. It has a cool interior and the food was great. And if you have a car of your own it’s worth driving now up to Stalheim viewpoint, it’s about 25 minutes from Flåm. Are you visiting Stockholm on this trip? I’m married to a Swede now (from AZ originally like you) and been living in Stockholm for 3 years so if you need any tips of places worth seeing I’m happy to offer some. 🙂

So sad about the luggage – thing! It’s at that point that you woder why you even bothered to do everything following the air company’s guidelines. Do you think you’ll get the clothing back? Maybe it was still in the plane? Just an idea: we always wrap our suitcases in plastic foil! Don’t underestimate it, it’s like Scottish tape, haha!
On another note, I have completely fallen in love with your minty jacket, the one you wore yesterday! Could you pretty please tell me where it’s from?? ^^ I found one on Asos earlier that looked alike, but feels like the one you’re wearing is even prettier! xx

Yay, thanks! I saw it before, but the color definitely looks better in real life than it does on the site, in my opinion. I like the other, striped one as well, so hard to pick! What’s your opninion on them, fashion and quality wise?
And the wrapping thing definitely helped us out many times. It just doesn’t appeal to the security people to cut all that open, plus: the suitcases aren’t only secured, they get less damaged too (we have lost many, many suitcases in the battlefield (read: plane) before haha). And crossing my fingers for A’s stuff, hope you’l get it back 🙂
