Mad About Plaid
Fashion August 20, 2014 TOP: Treasure&Bond // JEANS: Rag & Bone // BOOTIES: Vince Camuto // DIAPER BAG: Petunia Pickle Bottom // SUNGLASSES: Ray Ban // LIPSTICK: NARS 'Heat Wave'
I think plaid is just one of those trends that I will always love whether I am wearing it camping or to go out for date night, it is one of my favorites. I especially love these Treasure&Bond plaid shirts at Nordstrom right now. I pretty much always consult Nordstrom first before any other site because lets be honest, who has better customer service?! I mean seriously, I have had them go above and beyond for me and it just feels wrong to be anything but a loyal customer! (At least thats my excuse I tell my husband when I come home with huge, oversized Nordstrom bags haha :) ) but it really is true, they are truly thee best.
And don't even get me going on these horrid roots of mine.. I am a former hair dresser and so having my hair grown out this much is driving me nutsooo. I am not yet ready to leave Atticus and I am also not ready to take him with me.. I have this fear of being in a chair at the salon with a million foils on my head sitting there like a baked potato while my baby has a sudden freak out and I cant do anything but sit! He is a baby who likes when his mama holds him STANDING, not sitting haha apparently there is a big difference to him! And I know that is so dramatic.. I am one of those people who fantasizing about the worst case scenario and its a really bad habit! I wake my husband up in the middle of the night with thoughts like, "what would we do if there was a tornado?" or I will wake him up and have him listen for me while I sprint to the bathroom hahah like a literal crazy person! Heaven help me.
*Thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post

You’re adorable, your baby is adorable, your hair and outfits are always swoon worthy. 🙂 I LOVE the dainty little initial bracelet from Stella and Bow! Were you able to customize the initials through the website? I’d love to get one myself with my soon-to-be little nugget but didn’t see a way to customize the letters.
Thanks so much!
Lindsay
When someone writes an paragraph he/she keeps the thought of a user in his/her mind that how a user can understand it.
Therefore that’s why this post is perfect. Thanks!

I just went to get my hair done with my 2 month old. I had to because my sister is getting married this weekend and had no other option. You’re right. I held him half the time and the other half a very nice woman who was there with her friend held him. Thankful we were the only there and for southern hospitality. He is my second though. With my first a stranger holding my baby would’ve totally freaked me out.
I recognize that park! Cute area!
I love this look! Its perfect for the transition into Fall!

It’s so nice seeing famous bloggers tell us all how real they are! I love the little bits in your posts telling us things like you worry a lot haha. P.s. I am the same friggin way, when we lived in D.C. there were at least 3 tornado warnings every summer so the whole waking the husband up to make sure you get back from the bathroom safely was a norm in our household too! Haha I’m so excited for you guys btw that you moved! It’s so green!! I miss that! Anyway, I love your posts as always! 🙂

You are a wonderful mommy! I know that this is a fashion blog, but I love hearing about your baby. I have three babies, and with each one it took about 4 months for me to feel comfortable going to the salon to get my hair done, and leaving my baby with my husband for that long. When you’re breastfeeding, they nurse so much those first few months, and I never wanted my baby to be upset (I breastfed exclusively–no bottles). You look great, enjoy this time with your precious baby, they grow up way too fast.
Amber: I totally relate to you not wanting to be stuck in a chair when sweet baby may need you!…totally understandable and I say those hair roots can wait! Your sweet baby will be big in a blink, so just LOVE him all you want…go ahead and SPOIL him!
Loving plaid for fall! But really, I NEED those booties!

Always so perfect! You are my favorite. Aaaaand I used to make my poor husband get out of bed and stand outside the bathroom door when I had to use it at night because I was scared of ghosts…..so embarrassing but I couldn’t help it!
Great look! Love the distressed denim!

P.s. These pictures look amazing! What kind of lens did you use for the blurred background? Xo

Those boots! This look is one of my faves. Don’t worry about the hair- you still look amazing.
