Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint Review
Beauty June 6, 2018I cannot even tell you how many questions I have been asked about my pink hair!!! So I am doing one blog post answering all your questions and talking about the product I used and my honest review on it! I wanted pink hair for the Taylor Swift concert and I last minute asked David to pick up some of the Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint tint from Target.. it is super cheap (only $12 for a big bottle). I had 45 min to get ready so I hopped in the shower, read the instructions and went for it.

I wanted pink hair for the Taylor Swift concert and I last minute asked David to pick up some of this tint from Target.. it is super cheap (only $12 for a big bottle). I had 45 min to get ready so I hopped in the shower, read the instructions and went for it. So the tint I used is basically a spray that you apply to wet hair. If you want it to be MORE pink you can towel blot your hair before you apply which I did because I wanted mine pretty pink. But if you wanted yours more rose gold, you would just leave your hair totally wet. Below are some tips and answers to questions I have gotten!
What I Used : Rose Gold Temporary Tint

Q: How long did you leave it on?
A: I left mine on for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes.. hard to tell because I wasn’t actually timing it just tried to guess when I was at 2 or so min.
Q: How did yours turn out so pink?
A: I towel dried my hair before I applied it. I also have bleached ends and bleached hair is more porous so it soaks up color more easily. If you have virgin hair or colored hair your hair won’t pick it up as easily.
Q: How long did it take for it to come out?
A: The bottle says it lasts 3 washes and that was true for me. It lasted me just over a week and in that week I washed my hair 3 times and after the 3rd it was out.
TIPS
1. Don’t apply to tangled hair, I recommend combing your hair first so it goes on nice and evenly.
2. The product doesn’t move around easily.. meaning you can’t spray in one spot and spread the product.. you actually have to spray on the sections you want colored. I hope that makes sense.
3. Get a clarifying shampoo if yours isn’t coming out and that should take it right out.

How to Style & Curl Short Hair
Since cutting my hair short I have received several questions about how I style it and what products I use daily. Cutting my hair was a huge change for me but I have absolutely loved it! It had been so fun to learn how to style and curl it and today, I am going to share step by step how to do just that.

Love this look and love more that’s only a temporary fun thing! 🙂 Would you suggest it being okay to use on hair extensions?
How many uses can you get out of one bottle??
Ohh I love this! I have darker hair though so I wonder if this will come out as pink!

I love pink hair! I’ve had mine twice! But I’ve used Manic Panic because I was scared to harm my hair. You look so pretty with it. What I like about the manic panic is that it fades into a pastel color. I’ve used the cotton candy pink and new rose.

Dyeing my hair pink is one of my favorite things! I think I’ll try this out in between salon sessions.

Do you think the tint would work on dark hair at all?
Thank you so much! I already got some for myself but I’ve been nervous to try since i wasn’t sure how true the 3 washes were. I am def finally doing it this weekend!!

Did you try it on your extensions? Did it wash out just as quickly as your own hair?
I love the pink hair. Temporary hair dye is such a fun way to play around with wild colors!

The tint looks so pretty! However, the application sounds like it won’t allow for the same results on everyone. The fact that it doesn’t move around makes me just think it would be easier to go to a hair salon.
