This was the best week ever - I am so obsessed with Halloweeen! I wish we could dress up in costumes every week. And I guess we can -- and should haha. But really Halloween with two kids was such a blast. We went to a few parties and festivities and each one we did a new costume.. I think my favorite was Hillary and Trump. When we went to go take pictures of them they were so in character and I thought Rosie would hate her little wig but she just kept smiling and loving the attention haha! It was hilarious. Although at the party towards the end she realized - what is this thing on my head? and finally pulled it off. I will definitely miss Halloween in the city. I love that streets close down and all of the stores are giving out candy. And all of the decorated stoops are too good to be true.. its a really fun time of year here! BUT I am soooo excited to have a home of our own and to finally be able to go all out and decorate! I know we technically can in the city but there is no space to store Halloween decorations after the fact so it seems a bit wasteful to get decorations only to get rid of them after each year. So yay for having a garage with endless holiday decor! Also we got our test results back from my surgery and the lump was benign so we were happy about that!! I was assuming it was the whole time but it does feel good to hear it officially :) We went to Utah to have it removed because... long story. But the short version is that I turned 26 this year and got kicked off my parents insurance and for whatever reason am not eligible for new insurance until December 1st.. soo I have to pay cash for everything and to get a lump removed in NYC it is 5 times the price. And its already a pretty expensive procedure so needless to say we saved a lot of money just having my doctor in Utah do it. The kids were such troopers coming all the way out there with me on red eyes both ways. I was feeling sick about leaving them since I had just left them to do the extension shoot in Utah. So David and the kids came with me and I was so happy to have them there with me. Hope you had a wonderful Halloween!!!!!!!

It takes a lot to open up to an internet full of strangers about the not so glamorous “real life” aspects behind the camera. I really took for granted being on my parent’s health plan. It is so outrageous. I live in Boston which is similar pricing to NYC I can imagine. Amber I am so glad you are ok and the lump was benign. I am a worry freak- my mind goes to the worst case scenario and I am a complete mess when it comes to me or my families health- especially anything to do with cancer. Of course, that means my faith is shaky because we have to know God is in control at all times. Life is tricky like that-things can change in a moment and our life comes crashing down on us. My dad just passed away in a car accident in August- he was 53. It was and still is such a shock to our family, we were so close with him. My kids miss him too everyday. It has been so hard accepting little by little, everyday, that he isn’t here anymore. It just goes to show we must prioritize our life in such a way that is worthy of our calling as Christians! Wishing you and your family all the best today and always ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Ps love love love all your beautiful clothes, your cute kids, your lovely home! You’re quite talented and an inspiration ?
