Getting to be in Norway on their Norwegian Constitution Day was soo fun and so amazing! It was honestly thee coolest thing seeing everyone in their bunads and braids - I was so jealous I wanted to be wearing one! They are so pretty and everyone looked AMAZING! Is Norway just ridiculously attractive or what? I mean seriously almost every person I saw was gorgeous. It was also so fun getting to eat from all of the food stands and getting to meet some of my Norwegian followers on the streets! (Me and Martha in the photo above! Loved meeting you girl!) It really was just the coolest day, I wish in the US we had some sort of unified tradition like that and all got dressed up!
*Making an edit after getting emails/comments about the above^^ what I meant by I wish we had a unified tradition is I wish we had a national, traditional costume that dated back centuries ago similar to what they have in Norway. It is really cool to me. I do however know and appreciate the Fourth of July and love all of the holidays and celebrations in America. I very much appreciate the melting pot that makes up America.
Today is our last full day in Norway and we are headed to a fjord and are renting a boat to fish and have a picnic! Super excited. xo
